For nearly twenty years I raised pigs. I have written a column in the weekly newspaper, The Pioneer Review of Philip, SD for roughly 45 years and still today write for them under the column for Betwixt Places. I was commander of the Philip Composite Civil Air Patrol for 16 years. I received my pilots license in 1989 and enjoyed flying for 30 years. I served eight years as County Commissioner and served on many boards. I started writing as a way to tell the family about what it was like for me. The story stalemated for quite a long time and finally I decided to just call it quits and see how to get it printed. That has led me on another journey because the first place I submitted the book to accepted it! I didn’t want to have a garage full of books to sell and was trying to get it marketed via other means than me going out and selling it. The acceptance of the first book prompted me to delve into the next chapter of my life. and then the third part and finally the fourth part is yet to be completed.
